INT4
This cell type is one of four newly described interneuron types in the dataset. Like INT1–3, it has dense axonal arborisations with regular boutons, resembling the fast-spiking interneuron type found in the mammalian striatum. INT4 neurons are small, and most of them have a strongly indented nucleus. Like INT2 and INT3, INT4 mainly targets MSNs. INT4 accounts for 0.3% of adult neurons.
putative neurotransmitter: GABA
